Mt. Stewart-Morell-St. Peter's Bay Pastoral Charge

Our Church Home in the United Church of Canada

Service for October 18, 2020

The link for the service for October 18, 2020, Pentecost 20, is available here: 2020-10-18 Pentecost 20

Should you have problems with this link, please connect directly to the file via the welcome page on our website, or contact me directly.

Please also note that there will be services at Morell at 10:00 and at Mount Stewart at 11:30 on the 18th. St. Peter’s Bay congregation has not yet selected a timeline for reopening, but any desiring in-person worship now are assured a warm welcome at either of the other sanctuaries. All worshippers are being asked to wear masks and respect the provincial guidelines for physical distancing both inside and outside. PLEASE NOTE that all are being asked to self-screen as they consider attending these in-person services. If you should be self-isolating or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend until your circumstances change. We what to minimize as much as possible any risk for those who wish to attend; we are continuing to make the pre-recorded services available each week so that each one can make their best personal choice and yet know they are part of the community. Also, the pew cushions have been removed, so this is one of those rare times that showing up to church with your own pillow will not raise any eyebrows!!!

Again I offer thanks to Don and Nancie, our Licensed Lay Worship Leaders, and to Jeff and Eva for their musical contribution. We are pleased to share with you this pre-recorded service, and pray it may add to your weekend and help remind us all that though we continue to care for each other by exercising healthy physical distancing, we are together as the family of God.

God’s love and peace be with each one and all whom you hold in your hearts,

Kevin

Service for September 27, 2020

This week we continue to provide two links to our pre-recorded service; however, as we will soon no longer to have a DropBox account, I would ask everyone to try the OneDrive link and let me know if there are any problems with it. The files for the service have been tested, but, as everyone’s computer or tablet can be different, you may yet encounter unexpected issues with playback. In such a case, please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll try to help solve the problem.

Also, please check on the welcome page of this website in the scrolling announcements for information about a bursary/scholarship available to Protestant students in financial need who will be attending their first year at Holland College as a full-time student in the fall.

The OneDrive link to the service can be found here: 2020-9-27 Creation 3

The link to the Dropbox file is still here if the OneDrive link does not work smoothly for you: 2020-9-27 Dropbox
